So first tip would be make sure you book in advance as the couple of times I've tried to just walk in they've had sold out performances. There's a decent selection of alcoholic drinks and the food served is much better than your usual cinema food! And overall a much better cinema experience than your large chain multiplex type cinema. On a couple of occasions I've been to the downstairs screen staff have been chatting loudly at the bar just outside but stopped when I've dipped out to say they could be heard.

The mailbox Everyman cinema in Birmingham was an experience indeed but not a good one. The sofas are terribly uncomfortable, the room is cramped and very cold, screen is tiny and the food is ridiculously overpriced for what it is, that's if you can manage to actually place an order for something in good time. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for a "luxury cinema" or any cinema to be honest. Vue Gold Class is a much better choice or even your regular Odeon, I will not be returning.

Been to the Everyman in Islington in London and it was one of the best nights i've ever had, so excited to see how the Birmingham one fares!
