Went to this venue to sing on Friday night [29/07/2016]!!! This is my second time I’ve came to Ming Moon for a late night karaoke session! This time I’ve booked the Apres room [thinking I would only have at least 6 people, but turned out I had 12 people came – and that was the max people for that particular room]. It was really nice and well decorated – not too dark and can actually see people, haha! This time, the food wise changed from last year when I first went… I remember last year – we had to go downstairs to eat the buffet. But this time, it was like other karaoke places where we could order from the menu and eat in the k room [which is better to be honest], nobody wants to waste time eating and not singing hehe! The k machine was really updated actually! It had quite a numbers of songs / artists to choose from and the machine was really easy to use and we could mix up the songs to sing! The microphone was good too! I’ve been to many k places where microphone always seems to be not working or when standing next to the other person singing with the mic – it would interfere and give a screeching noise, which was sooo annoying especially when we had to kept pressing the buzzer for a member of staff to come in the room. So this time, we had no hassle within the microphone for this place. The staff’s was really well friendly, he made sure that we knew how to use the k system machine. When we were ordering drinks.. he recommended which way it would be cheaper [as most of us wanted cocktails].. as some staff don’t care and wants to earn more £££ from us. But he recommended us having the sharing tower cocktail which was really cool!!! I love cocktails and the flavour was just right for me! Towards the closing time – 5am, a member of staff came in and reminded us we only had 10mins left… but I think we went over that 10mins and still no staff came to kick us out haha! But we all left without getting told off, hehe! When we came out of the room – the staff asked us a few times, to look around if we got everything and if we took everything with us. When we went outside, my friend left something in the room and a member of staff quickly came outside and shouted out we left something. Which was really nice of them!! I would definitely choose to come back to this venue to organise a karaoke session! Lots of different rooms to choose from!!! That’s 2 out of 11 rooms that I can tick off, hehe! Friendly staff is always a bonus! And most of all they all spoke in Cantonese – which made it felt friendlier. The microphone and k machine was all working and updated and we didn’t have to ask the staff to come in the room apart from when ordering food/drinks.
