Description

Taking the previous Bliss clubrooms and introducing a new party concept to the city, Players Bar, already a national party brand thanks to Revolution, will arrive in the city's Broad Street with a little fun time attitude in tow.

Set to utilise the previously grandiose space of Bliss, Players Bar will welcome big numbers to their Sports Bar-cum-Clubrooms where booming dance floors, VIP sections and lengthy bars reign supreme; all themed around an American sports bar where waitresses don their very best in Players branded cheerleader outfits and offer premium table service.

From Players passes and VIP packages to weekly drinks deals and rock bottom prices, this party venue aims not to break the bank but have one heck of a time out on the dance floor where commercial hits and club classics will be doing the spins; a true weekend destination for letting your hair down or hen/stag nights alike.

I wouldn't recommned players if your going for a night out in Birmingham. There a number of reasons. Firstly the manger is so arrogant he thinks he's a 10/10 when he's legit a 2 ( and that's me being generous) he needs to calm down and remember he don't own players 😂 he's got an attitude problem and he's butters so it really don't work. The door staff are just rude, they think the club is something in Mayfair when it's literally the shittest smallest deadest club, the whole place smells - just as bad as the managers breathe. I would recommend going to 6 instead or pryzm but to be honest it's better to go to Arcadian, don't waste ya money or time there.

Absolutely disgraceful Birthday experience. Emailed a couple of weeks in advance to arrange a night out for myself and around 20 friends for my 20th Birthday, for Saturday 11th March, all was fine and the woman I had emailed- Rachel, had said she'd sort us out on the guest list which would sort everyone Queue Jump and Entry for £3. I was instructed beforehand to tell the person on the door my name and they would sort this out for us. We all arrived together and spoke to the lady on the door as instructed, a blonde Lady, who I must add, was very polite and helpful. However after explaining that we were on the guest list, the bouncer next to her wouldn't let us in. I was obviously getting very worried as it was my birthday night out and wasn't sure what we'd have done if we couldn't get in as we weren't from Birmingham. The bouncer claimed he wouldn't let us in because a couple of us were wearing trainers- nobody's trainers weren't black and since it was a birthday night out you would have thought that they would at least be a little lenient. It seemed as tough the bouncer was going out of his way to ruin our night as he had a smug grin on his face the whole time with a clear intent to cause me distress. Fortunately, the blonde lady was helpful enough to get the manager for us who, again, was very helpful and polite and I was very impressed with how he dealt with things. He told the bouncer to let us in, so in we went. However, despite being promised £3 for entry and queue jump, they didn't have enough of these cards left, so some of my friends had to pay £4 and £5, which obviously isn't much more expensive, however isn't very professional considering we had organised in advance. After getting in, all was okay for a while- The club itself is good. However after around an hour of being in the club, I found myself standing at the bar next to two random guys who, similar to the bouncer from earlier seemed determined to rile me up. I am a very calm person, and have never had a fight or even rely been involved in a major confrontation, highlighting how much they were winding me up to get me so wound up. My friend ended up standing next to me to calm the situation down, yet a few seconds later, a bouncer walked up to me and took me outside. I was already calm by now and this was evident to see. I understood why they took me outside and explained this to the bouncer (different bouncer to earlier in the night) and after a couple of minutes of standing outside, told him I was sorry for getting wound up inside and if I could please go back inside. He said no, and I explained how it was my birthday, all of my friends were inside and I couldn't afford to be outside for the rest of the night since it was my birthday, didn't want to be alone for 3 hours, and my friends would be wondering where I was. The bouncer remained adamant that I wouldn't be allowed back in and started being very rude to me, despite me remaining very polite and calm to him throughout. I then asked the other unreasonable bouncer from earlier in the night who was stood next to him as he could clearly see I wasn't out to cause trouble, just wanted to have a good birthday night out with my friends. They both said no, so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out and I spoke to him, again he was very reasonable. He said he understood where I was coming from and also why I was taken outside in the first place. He recognised my situation and told me to pop next door for a drink of water and then to go back to him and he'd get me in. I did this and as he promised, the manager told the bouncers to let me in. The bouncers again said no. They told me and the manager that they would let me in if i came back in 30 minutes. Reluctantly, I accepted this, still remaining calm, despite how frustrating and tedious they were making this. I came back 30 minutes later, they said no and it felt like both bouncers were teaming up on me now, being really rude, to the extent of bullying in all honesty. I was feeling really upset now, my night had been ruined. I will never be going back again. Worst night out of my life. Thanks for ruining my birthday Players

Booked this venue for my 50th birthday to see the dreamboys What a dissapointment it was The room itself was terrible no tables just rows of plastic seats it was like sitting in a school assembly Drinks had to be put on the floor which were knocked over and soaked our bags There was a man with a mop to clean up and beleive me he clocked up a few miles with it The food they provided was decent though Now the entertainment well what can i say wasn't what i expected for the price of the tickets but what can you expect the lads did the best they could i suppose given the tiniest area they had to perform in the stage was a joke the toilets had more room Mistakes were made which you can expect from a live performance but all in all it was a big dissapointment and i will not be visiting this place again

The staff who assumed i was "too drunk" after getting into the club an hour in and i go to buy my first drink and one of the bar waitresses had somehow got the bouncers to kick me out after asking to buy a drink. When walking with them i was respectful and and trying to show them that i was clearly not in the state she said i was in without asking any questions or even seeing if i was 'drunk' i was told to leave and that was it . I WAS THERE FOR 1 HOUR!! i didn't even purchase a drink at the bar after paying for entry. just like to say i'll never be returning to the club again. Last night was a complete joke couldn't call any of my friends and resorted to standing outside waiting for them for an hour. i felt the staff were rude and very forceful not to mention the assumption that i was under heavily under the influence when i very clearly wasn't - for anyone going i'd like to say they have a habit of abusing their power by claiming your drunk so you can't get in or using the "dress code" as another excuse THEY THINK THEY HAVE A PRESTIGE REPUTATION BECAUSE THAT ONE GIRL FROM EX ON THE BEACH WENT THERE - BIG WHOOP
