The Balcony welcomes MasterChef champion, Tim Anderson for ‘Taste of Japan’ event!
For one night only, MasterChef star Tim Anderson will be hosting an evening of exquisite and unusual Japanese dining at The Balcony at Selfridges, this March.
The evening promises to serve up traditional Japanese dishes with a flavorsome modern twist, with Tim’s cooking drawing on a personal history of worldwide culinary tourism and a keen interest in food science and modernist cuisine.
Sample dishes include Kumamoto Ramen: Thin noodles in nose-to-tail pork broth with garlic chips, burnt garlic oil, pork belly, tea-pickled egg, and pickled mustard greens, and Banana Miso Ice Cream with Black Sugar Syrup, Kinako, and Castella.
For fans of Japanese cuisine, the ‘Taste of Japan’ evening promises to be an unforgettable experience - limited tickets available, so don’t miss out!
About Tim Anderson
Tim Anderson's cooking is primarily influenced by his American heritage and his love for regional Japanese food, but it also draws on a personal history of worldwide culinary tourism and a keen interest in food science and modernist cuisine.
Tim Anderson won BBC 1's MasterChef in 2011 and is now a freelance chef, food writer, and consultant based in London. He also appeared in a Thanksgiving special for Channel 4's Weekend Kitchen with Waitrose, as a host for Hotpoint at the BBC Good Food Show London and at various food events including Abergavenny Food Festival, Ludlow Food Festival, Foodies Festivals.
