The Deaf Institute

Description

Best Fun Time Party Bar 2014 - DesignMyNight Awards

The Deaf Institute is an amazing three-tier bar and live music venue that is a Manchester nightlife staple in the student hub of Oxford Road. Music magazine NME said of The Deaf Institute that “It looks like it's been dragged out of some ancient crevice of history before the invention of soulless corporate venues.” The quirky charm is what makes this venue so cool and current amongst the ever changing Manchester bar scene.

With three different bars The Deaf Institute thrives with its diversity and different spaces, offering people the chance to drink where they feel comfortable. The basement bar is dark and plush, a place to lounge around sipping cocktails all evening. The ground floor café bar is open from 4pm daily serving amazing food as well as being a cool place to enjoy an evening drink with friends. The upstairs music hall has it all… a massive glitter ball, velvet curtains, a domed ceiling, a smoking terrace and tiered seating. A place to dance, let loose and experience the best Manchester has to offer. Affordable drinks are also key at The Deaf Institute with their own lager, cider and wine pushing prices down alongside some great Happy Hour cocktail deals that will keep your wallet/purse safe from harm.

The Deaf Institute is a great Manchester venue for an evening with friends, as well as a classic gig and club night venue. A buzzy, young crowd should be expected, but you’ll have a great night guaranteed. A great place for parties and gatherings with groups of friends - book your table or drinks area online now using the form above.

The Deaf Institute - Bar Review

The Deaf Institute narrows its mascara coated eyes and draws a long drag on a slim, lilac cigarette. "I'll be whatever you want me to be, sugar" it whispers huskily into the ears of the curious twenty-somethings crossing its drawbridge-like threshold and entering into its weird, wonderful and ever changing…
