Edible Stories are back this month, with a brand new and slightly different event. For one night only join them to celebrate their 3 year anniversary. The Edible Stories team have curated another immersive evening with lots of surprises throughout the night. This time they ask you not to bring one accessory but rather to come in full fancy dress and discover a story set in the mid 1920s. The story will remain a secret and it is up to you to discover the clues on the night.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been told to pass on the good news, you have been selected for membership among the many deserving for the newly opened Boxing Gym. Don't be fooled only the elite have been invited to join. The owner, who's name is to remain a secret for now, is putting on a special evening to personally welcome you.

Your membership will commence on the 20th September 1923. To confirm your membership, meet at the crossing of Murray Street and Camden Square (NW1) at twenty hundred hours. Knock on the door four times, and you’ll be greeted by the Norma. Upon entrance exchange your invite at the front desk for your membership card. You will then be introduced to the owner, if he likes the look of you he may be so inclined to show you around.

Don't think entry is that easy! After you receive for your membership card, the doorman will ask you for a password, it is ever-changing, and will only be given to you on a need to know basis. Make sure to memorize it and then get rid of all evidence.

After you've exhausted your complimentary drinks, I've been told there may be some giggle water on purchase at the gym in case you get a little thirsty. But don't you think it's all part of the package. Some things in life you have to pay extra for.

Dress Code: (1923-1937 Black Tie)

Gents - A starched white shirt and high collar with a bow tie is to be worn under black tails, and black trousers are to top shiny black shoes. If you are feeling summery you may decide to go with a white dinner jacket, black bow tie, cummerbund with black trousers. No man of any class is to be out in public without a hat. Don't neglect your hair. Make sure to have it combed back and greased with tonic to provide a sophisticated look. If you want to stand out, you might want to go with the upcoming side parting.

Ladies - Your evening dress should ideally be sleeveless, with deep V or U-shaped neckline. Decorations may included beading, a fringe and even feathers. Don't forget that a respectable lady will select a pair of fine stockings in soft pastel or flesh colors. And one more thing, polished dancing shoes are a must! Let's turn some heads ladies! Those who chose to retain their long hair are to wear it pulled back into deep waves over the ears. Makeup is always best obvious, with red lips, powdered skin, and dark eyes.
