Kiri

Description

Tucked away down a side road close to Oxford Street is Kiri, a Japanese restaurant specialising in modern izakaya dishes and an exclusive sake list.

The restaurant is a new venture from the same guys behind the Chisou restaurant on nearby Princes Street. The decor has a homely and calming feel, with natural woods and warm lighting throughout as well as several cosy corners for an intimate meal out. There’s also some outside seating for the warmer months.

The restaurant is comprised of snappy izakaya dishes cooked up using top quality ingredients. Signature dishes like the raw fish capriccios or the bone-in ribeye steak with yakiniku sauce are meant to be enjoyed in a rich, communal atmosphere, and there’s plenty in it for London’s sake lovers, too. Pick something out from a list of bottles from small producers which steal the show on a drinks menu also featuring draught beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
