Description
The Cow is a Notting Hill's pub restaurant, which offers the achingly hip denizens of Westbourne Park the best of both worlds. Downstairs is a rough-&-ready Irish tavern with a deliberately shabby-chic vibe: shellfish is the order of the day here and the counter groans under the weight of winkles, whelks, clams & very good oysters. Upstairs is another world, all crisp white tablecloths, pale yellow walls & the odd publicity-shy celeb considering the understated menu. Once again, oysters are the star turn, but the likes of duck ragù, tricolore gnocchi with brie, or sea bass with mussels & wild garlic leaves add some international refinement to proceedings.
