Common Bar has now closed. Modern Love now operates from this venue.

Common Bar is one of Old Street's true gems. Kitted out with polished wooden tables, stripped floors, soft mint-green walls and glowing candles, this is an intimate party place for only the coolest Shoreditch kids.

Come to Common if you're searching for a bustling cocktail bar serving up a variety of locally-sourced beers for good measure. There's live bands, DJs and late-night dancing to be enjoyed here, with revellers throwing those hands in the air until 2am from Thursday to Saturday.

There's some delightful happy hour deals to be snapped up, and their regular jazz nights and light-hearted events makes this one a real hit with the East London crowd. Common is there for those hoping to find an unpretentious yet vibrant Shoreditch spot.

Good bar, met friends here on Friday evening, they had a table as they were there earlyish, stayed here all night until close and loved the music! Bar staff friendly and a great atmosphere, will drop by again if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit.
Wednesday Evening... First impression when entering the place: small and dark, just like the photos on internet suggested. The reality is much less slick and more sticky than pictures promised (at least, my table was). The card is difficult to read in the light of a mini candle, the glass of wine was kind of dirty,.. Young man behind the bar seems friendly. Unfortunately, I will not be able to assess is expertise in cocktail making cause I will not go again...
Perfect little intimate bar for a first date or for a catch up with friends. Also nice with something different from the rest of the bars in Shoreditch which are all very rowdy and noisy.

Great little place! I've never been when it gets imposingly busy and crowded. Brought my girl and she loved it too!
Went here on a friday after work and was a great little find. Small, cute with good beers and ciders to choose from. Wasn't over busy...seems like a lot of people probably miss it as the entrance is sooo obvious
Yeh its good. Seems to have got a lot of hype recently as a lot of the in crowd seem to like it and got behind it. Its cool, its a laid back bar, good for some pre drinks in shoreditch. Did it blow my mind? Nope
