El Nivel

Description

El Nivel brings a unique taste of Mexico to this little corner of Covent Garden. Kitted out with a retro Latin decor and oozing a low key, relaxed vibe; the intimate bar offers a unique collection of high-end agave spirits to its visitors. Tequila and mezcal feature prominently, but there's also an emphasis on lesser-known spirits like raicillas, bacanaras and sotol as well - available to enjoy neat or as part of a cocktail.

Owner Tomas Estes holds the prestigious title of 'Official Tequila Ambassador for Europe'; and he's ably assisted by his bartender son Jesse. The venue also features a 1930's/1940's theme which is reflected by the quirky furnishings and drinks menu. Eamonn Mullen is the architect behind the menu, and the acclaimed chef draws on his 35 years of experience with Mexican and Latin cuisine to produce an array of smaller plates which go down a treat alongside the tequila and mezcal.

El Nivel is a classy Central London hangout, ideally suited to those with a penchant for tequila and all things Mexico. The venue lends itself to those looking to enjoy a couple of cheeky tequilas after work, to catch up with friends or grab a light bite to eat in Covent Garden.
