Mayahuel, situated in the bowels of Mexican cuisine lotharios, Lupita, is an underground cocktail bar on Commercial Street in the Spitalfields area. It adds another dimension to the classic Mexico City cuisine provided by Lupita.

As well as delicious Latin-American cocktails, Mayahuel offers tastes of authentic Mexican Mezcal, a slightly different tipple to the traditional tequila with a smokier flavour due to being distilled in whiskey barrels.

There is also a fine selection of Mexican wines that match the nibbles (Mexicanapés) and if you’re lucky enough, you may just have the pleasure of being serenaded by an authentic mariachi band.
