The Hug and Pint

Description

Arty, trendsetting tavern with a magical musical twist, The Hug and Pint on Great Western Street is a top-quality live music venue accommodating a growing host of budding acoustic artists, indie rock bands and more. Launching in June '15 with the likes of alternative duo Tuff Love, indie band We Have Paws and 60s pop-style gal Martha Ffion, the Hug and Pint is certainly set to please you and your mosh-happy mates.

Split over two levels boasting over 100 capacity, the upstairs encapsulates a colourful, contemporary art air thanks to the doodly designs of Emer Tumilty, whilst the basement bar oozes underground both by the bands that play and the grungy, gig-scene setting. This modish, industrial drinkery characterises cool and complete with skateboard-laced walls and top-end PA music system is available for private hire for the heady hordes of you.

Food is also on the alternative side with a completely vegan menu at The Hug and Pint. Expect Asian dishes that change every single day and along with their aim to be the 'friendliest pub in Scotland', this a great choice for everyone.
