The Hope is a new bar in Glasgow which opened in early September. Formerly known as The Grahamston, the old-pub-turned-chic-restaurant-bar has undergone a £400,000 refurbishment over the summer. The new Glasgow bar is the latest addition to the growing Maclay Inns empire, the folks who brought you The LansdowneMunro's and Dram. The first City Centre venue for the bar group, The Hope, with its cracking location on Waterloo Street, is set to be a major draw for hoards Central Station commuters and workers in surrounding offices. The re-launch saw the venue get a stylish new interior and a focus on offering fresh, contemporary food and a selection of great beers and wines.

Absolutely fantastic bar. I visited yesterday in the middle of some major Christmas shopping. Great food, and the staff were very friendly and warm and the food was great.

I went for a quick drink and a cheeky bit of food before jumping on the train last night. The staff were great and the food was very nice. I highly recommend giving this place a try especially if you're used to the same old around Central Station.
