Brixton Pubs

The Effra pub in Brixton is a welcome oasis from the crazy high street of Brixton. This Brixton pub is famous for its live jazz sessions that are put on throughout the week, with a caribbean house band busting out smooth jazz sounds to the highly appreciate locals. This is the type of pub everyone wishes for their local and is a wonderful blend of British and Caribbean carving out a truely top London pub. 

Duke of Edinburgh on Ferndale road in Brixton is famous for its huge beer garden and famous summer bbqs. It is hidden off the back streets joining Brixton and Clapham so may not yet be on your radar but this is one of our favourite Brixton pubs! There is a pool table, a good selection of beers on tap and a TV screen for watching the football. The real draw is the secret beer garden out the back that is a wonderful leafy retreat that will make you feel like you are drinking in a country pub in Surrey! 

The Trinity Arms in Brixton is a cute and cosy pub in the heart of Brixton. This is a perfect pub for a sunday lunch or perhaps a cosy mid week drink with friends. Forget the wave of gastro pubs, this is a proper traditional British pub, with tasty ales on tap, newspaper around the bar and friendly bar staff chatting about the weather. It overlooks a lovely little square and has outside tables for eating and drinking. This is a highly recommended Brixton pub.
