The Scotch

Description

The Scotch is a historical and exclusive music hub and cocktail bar relaunched in January 2012, well-hidden in Manson's Yard, St. James. Set over two floors, this eclectic club interior is based on a "Tartan on Acid" concept which develops into bold fabrics, brass tin tiles, oak panels and Art Deco pillars, injecting a refined intimate and raw London feel. It has been London rock's elite meeting place during the 60's, hosting everybody from The Rolling Stones to The Who, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and also Jimi Hendrix when he first arrived, unknown, in London in 1966. Now brought back to light and renewed, The Scotch is a unique and by invitation only speakeasy bar which, since its opening, has been a sudden success with local and international artists: Scarlett Johansson, Jack White, Dinos Chapman, Stella McCartney, Keira Knightley and Mark Ronson had private parties here.

This tucked-away gem is a flawless space for enjoying luxurious music-inspired cocktails such as the Purple Haze (Russian Standard vodka, Chambourd, fresh lemon juice, sugar, fresh pink grapefruit), London Calling (Tanqueray gin, Manzanilla sherry, fresh lemon juice, orgeat syrup, orange bitters) or the Hard Days Night (Bacardi superior, Koko Kanu, lime, sugar, grapefruit). Live music and DJ's mixing everything from Rock'n'Roll to 70's-80's Alternative with an avant-gard taste giving away memorable nights.
